GRUMPY'S RUN

The last run of 2016 started at Tea Tree Plaza in what can only be described as perfect weather conditions for cruising around in a Corvette. A group of 11 Corvettes and a Nissan headed for the Hills. Our first pit stop was at Gumeracha where Danny and Jenny were waiting for us in their bright blue C3. From here I think we managed to baffle everyone as to which way we were going by successfully turning a trip of around 40 minutes if you were to travel directly between the start and finish points to a 2 hour meander through many roads that others may not have ever been on. Our expedition took us through Birdwood, Mount Pleasant, Mount Torrens, Charleston then snaked through the back roads behind Woodside, Inverbrackie and Brukunga to rejoin the main road at Nairne. We then picked up Dave & Karen in Littlehampton who were somewhat surprised by the perfect timing of our arrival. It was then on to our lunch venue at Grumpy's Brewhaus after giving the tourists and locals down the main street of Hahndorf an impromptu parade of Corvettes to watch.

On arriving at Grumpy's we were greeted by Goof and Mel who had just popped down from the Barossa to join us for lunch. But that wasn't the last of our fashionably late arrivals with Graham and Debbie Johns showing up on the new motorbike as well.

We then all settled in for a relaxing lunch sitting outside in the beautiful weather. Thanks to everyone who came along for the day!
