Corvette club of South Australia Inc.

Sunday: After losing an hour's sleep due to daylight saving commencing, it was time for the morning brief again. Today was a cruise to Beachport, via some scenic roads through the back country. It was a good sight with some 18 Corvettes in tow, plus 4 non-Corvettes. 1 km of eye candy! First stop was Woak Wine Cutting, just outside of Beachport. This is a huge cutting that a farmer carved to drain his land. The machinery he used is on display at the lookout site. After photos & a good look around, we cruised into Beachport, taking in the tourist drive, so the holiday makers had the privilege of seeing a line of Corvettes cruising through the town to the Pub. On arrival, we parked all our cars on a grass lawn. This was prearranged with the information centre. Here we had lunch at the Beachport Hotel. After lunch, some of us looked through their museum which depicted early life around the area. Others wandered the streets eating ice-creams. After regrouping we took the scenic Bowman's drive where we managed to fit all the Corvettes in a small carpark at a lookout. (It looked like Corvette Spaghetti). Another photo opportunity along with some drone footage. After untangling the cars & a bit more of a drive around, we again headed back to base. Tonight, starting with the carpark drinks & nibbles, we consumed Pizzas that were delivered to the Motel. Here the last prize was given out. The winner was chosen by the sum total of the digits in their mobile phone number. Rod Prime's phone number won him a new overnight leather Corvette Bag.
